Macao Grand Prix

Celebrating its 65th year in 2018, the Macao Grand Prix is the most prestigious event on the local sporting calendar. The Macao Grand Prix is the world’s longest running Formula 3 event of its kind and takes place every November. Oktoberfest Macao

Macao International Music Festival

The Macao International Music Festival is another major event on the Macanese calendar which attracts hundreds of music lovers to the city in September, October and November every year. The Festival boasts a line-up of internationally renowned artists from all over the world. The Festival typically features artists performing from a variety of musical genres including opera, orchestral and chamber music, Chinese folk music, jazz, and Broadway – certainly a dynamic mix of all things musical from every corner of the globe.

Macao International Marathon

This international marathon, first hosted by Macao in 1981, continues to attract large numbers of local and international long-distance runners from around the world to Macao every December. For runner’s keen on experiencing the sights and sounds of Macao, the marathon route takes you through the Macao Peninsula, Taipa Island and past the Ruins of St. Paul to name a few. There is also the half-marathon and mini-marathon events, designed to attract amateur and fun runners seeking to test their endurance.

Macao International Film Festival Awards

Showcasing the best achievements by European and Asian filmmakers and actors, the International Film Festival Awards Macao (IFFAM), which takes place in December each year, boasts a star-studded line-up of film excellence and internationally-recognised names in the industry.
